Compassion, Effectiveness, and Efficiency – three words that best describe our ongoing efforts to step into the gap and connect those with resources to those who are without. For the single mom who is trying to put food on the table for her family, or for someone who has lost a job or is trying to support his or her family with one income in the inner city, Hope For The City has made that step. We have done this with compassion that touches the lives of individuals, an effectiveness that delivers goods into the hands of those who need it most, and an efficiency that maintains an overhead cost of less than 1%, distributing over 100 million dollars worth of wholesale value of goods for an operating cost of $338,756. We accomplish this by working with existing resources, a small staff and hundreds of volunteers.
